Am foghar

Quite a contrast from yesterday - blue skies and above all no rain and water levels receding.  I feel for those in nearby towns, including Perth, who were flooded and sadly one person is missing having been swept into the Tay. A sad reminder of the danger of fast flowing rivers.

Our French guests departed just after 5.30 this morning and are now safely back home.  Today saw me helping at the Bonfire Thrift Shop - part of our fundraising activities to cover costs so we don't need to charge for the Community Bonfire and Firework Display in November. Today was busier that the weekend. As always it is lovely chatting to different customers who come in.

This afternoon took me to our u3a crafting group where we were making decorations for our tree at the town's C- Tree Festival (I'm trying to hold off using the C word until after Bonfire night at least !).
