Sometimes

... my job makes me really sad - not because of what I do but because of all the evenings and weekends I have to work. 

I'm not a career oriented person, and I don't like how much my work controls the time I have. I hate being away from my family; I hate having to choose from all the significant moments for which to specifically wish time off from work. 

Sigh.
