Fences
After the second time the cows wandered into the garden the farmer pointed out that we were contractually responsible for the fence. Not the beautification of the fence as we thought. So we’ve plumped for estate fencing and of course are wheeler-dealing it so it’s being done gradually. The cows are gone for the year and it’s rather nice being able to wander inside the field and photograph the house from there.
A ridiculously warm sunny day. V and I had lunch together, always nice on a working day and in the late afternoon I zipped up to London for Martin’s book launch, Venice City of Pictures. What a lovely book, I hope it sells as well as his Hockney book.
Apparently a period of sunny weather at this time is called St Luke’s Little Summer.
Back home in good order although I wish I hadn’t brought a coat…
