Full Day On Site

There’s something about walking through heavily dewed grass in the dark, in flip-flops, on the way to the toilet block that makes camping a great experience.
In April during Spring Camp it bucketed with rain whereas today, October, it was so hot that some found it uncomfortable, not me.
Camp fire breakfast before a wander around the site, a coffee and catch up with friends, a couple beers before returning to the van to relax in the sun, easy to relax with the phone on airplane mode.
Camping has become a lot easier with the arrival of ‘tech’. In today’s photo you can see a solar power bank and my battery operated Nespresso coffee maker, birthday gift from brother Gary. Nothing like fresh pressed coffee in the middle of nowhere.

Mark, Mrs S and I enjoyed griddled steak and chicken wraps with salad before heading over to the event area in the evening to watch the band. The Bootleggers are a really good live band, great play list, the crowd wasn’t as bad as last night. We had an alcohol free late evening which made for an earlier night. Couple of chapters of my book and I was out for the count.

Mrs S and I need to do this camping malarkey more often.
