Alpine Vistas

Walked to the tiny Alpine village of Gimmelwald about 2 km. away and 300 m. below Murren. The return was a lot harder.
In the PM we walked up to Allmendhubel a plateau 2.2 km and 230 m. above Murren. The first part was quite steep but eventually became more gradual. The views were stunning and offered the first complete view of Jungfrau which is partially blocked out by a ridge, from Murren.

c. Eiger (Ogre) Monch (Monk) and Jungfrau (Young Woman). The monk protects the young woman from the ogre. All are around or more than 4000 m. tall.
