Had a great day at Dalscone Farm. We started with a hot chocolate and a famous Strawberry Tart.
A lovely wander round the animals. Most I know well from the Facebook lives including Miracle, Birdie and Wonky the goats. The baby donkeys were having a snooze. Farmer Joe and Farmer Connor were busy with the rest of the goats.
Had a lovely chat with Just Craig after he had fed the Meerkats. He’s very excited about the new sheds that are going up in November.
The new Animal Shed has some really interesting animals , a great addition to the farm.
The rain started so we headed for the Toy/gift shop and were lucky to bump into Farmer Pete and Farmer Ben so had a chat with them. Nice of them to give up their time.
We decided to chance the weather and head for a nearby Nature reserve with bird hides. The weather improved and we spent a nice few hours walking and watching the birds. The barnacle geese have started to arrive as well as Greylag and pink footed geese.
Back to the hotel for dinner :)
