Easing off
We've had an active start for our holiday shifting furniture and moving computer, stereos, books etc. between two rooms for the past three days. At the same time a big inventory has taken place in the whole apartment, and lots of stuff has been given to recycling or put to the bin. It's quite impossible to stop once you've got to a good start! We've almost finished now, thank God.
This native American beadwork came up in one of the drawers used to store various small objects. Originally this work was the cover of an eyeglass case made of leather, and it was brought to the family from the US as a gift by my great aunt in the 70s. The stitching along the edges held for many years but eventually the binding would come loose. Somehow nobody ever had the heart to throw it away.
So here's my Tuesday's memento and still life photography practice rolled into one. The warm yellow background is one of Mrs BT's paintings in progress.
Have a good day everyone!
