Archie (Tuesday 10th October 2023)

Diary blip. Back in July I booked Archie in to a body workshop in the Porte Marsh Industrial Estate to have several years of scratches and scrapes seen to. The earliest date it could be done was 10th October. I was considering selling it at the time, but experience has since taught me that it will be worth my while to hang on to it for a year or so, partly because of its tow bar and also for any longer journeys, given the limited range of Buzz between charges.

I had taken it in the night before the work was due to be done and walked back on this afternoon to reclaim it.

Tony had done good work on my previous cars over the decades, and had fixed Buzz's bumper earlier this year. Archie's exterior had been made to look as good as new, with the one caveat that the glass in a wing mirror had cracked while he was working on polishing the door (see Extra). I treated Archie to some petrol before returning home.
