Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,

I went to pick up Victor and Mary Doll from Waverley station after their day trip on The Flying Scotsman.

I was craning round a pillar behind the ticket barrier to try to take a photo of the train coming in, when a very nice station employee asked if I would like access to the platform.

Now, I am not a train nerd but I was very excited. Mary Doll and Victor had loved it and said that there were people waving all along the journey - from bridges, on streets and in gardens.

Mary Doll was also very pleased to report that the toilets could be used anywhere in the journey!
