Today's the day . . . . . . . . .. . . to call a halt

These are a few pieces of medieval pottery that we have found during the course of the archaeological Dig at Dhoon Bay near Kirkcudbright.

The exploratory work has come to an end and it's now a case of filling the trenches back in, before winter is upon us.  It has been a lot of fun, as ever - spending time with such a good bunch of people.  

There has been a real indication that there's a lot more to be discovered in this area.  So hopefully, there will be more digging to come in the future ..........................
