The Beast Is Caged.
We had to take this monster to the vet to have her claws clipped this morning.
She used them on my hand and wrist first as I fought to get her in the box.
In trying to catch her again I managed to leave blood on Bags' duvet cover and damage my ribs on a b box/book/something solid hidden under the clothes covering Squirrel's bedroom floor (the cat was under the bed).
We managed to get to the vets just in time for the appointment and as usual, she was as good as gold for the vet whilst I cleaned the open wounds with antiseptic wipes from the receptionists first aid kit.
After dropping the cat off back at the house we headed off for a collection at one of the supermarkets and thereafter dropped the stuff off. That was where we met Mr Mac who was having breakfast with a mutual friend prior to him getting his injections.
Later I went to the Post Office to send a parcel. That was fun trying to work out how many of which denomination stamps were required to cover the cost. 3 staff and a calculator later and off it went.
Getting into and out of the car and my chair is rather sore - and as for coughing ............
So I took the easy way out after lunch and went and stood up at the lathe.
I am now just having to put up with it.
Hopefully a lie down and a sleep - and the painkillers - will help.
