Forty-two

My latest book was a mix of Birmingham through relatively recent history and Covid. I enjoyed the storytelling and recognised some of the places. Not a top five read of the year but enjoyable nonetheless. My reading rate has slowed a little but number forty-three is 900+ pages so that might take a while too.

It’s been a funny day weather-wise with 17 degrees on the car on the way to work and 11 on the way home. A very wet afternoon too. I’ve had very little teaching today so my voice has held up and my cough has been reserved for lengthy conversations. Not sure how it will fare with Y11 parents’ evening tomorrow.
