Inky cap?

Today's good weather meant a day in the garden and washing the car. The grass has hopefully had its last cut of the year but, if I can, I will scarify the back lawn before it gets too cold.

A first today was mushrooms on the back patio. We get quite a few on the lawns but never on the patio before. Goodness knows when they came up but given the speed they grow I'm assuming it has been in the last few days. After a quick search I think they are inkcaps. Apparently they are edible but known as ‘tippler’s bane’ because they are poisonous if consumed within three days of drinking alcohol. I think I'll give them a miss.


Shareholders curling tonight. Great company but terrible result. There's always tomorrow.
