Had a nice day - though grey and wet weather mostly. Still warm though. G phoned as i was driving to upholstery to say he had popped in to see Dad and he was fine. No news re C though. Finished stripping the chair and then laid out the pieces to see how much i can get out of the green tweed. It was more than I expected and I think I have found the right contrasting fabric. It will be ages before i’m ready for the fabric though as I’ve decided to use traditional techniques throughout. They take longer but I will be learning some new skills which will be good.
Got home and had a quick freshen-up etc/ stripping chairs gets messy! JS and I then got the bus to Bingham to go to a Boyes store which I had been told had a good selection of Christmas fabrics and craft materials at a very good price. The selection was there but not the price! Had a mooch around the small town and a coffee before getting the bus
back -raining heavily when we got off. Did a bit of admin etc and phoned Dad who said he was feeling good and had just been for his flu jab. Got the bus to town, met AJ in Wagamama for a tasty early dinner and then went across the road to see Alvin Ailey II contemporary dance. They were incredibly good. Lots of life, excellent lighting and costumes. Loved it! The concert hall filled up more than in my blip but there were still quite a few empty seats - such a shame. The audience was very enthusiastic though . Bus waiting at the stop as I got there- excellent. AJ ended up getting a taxi though
