Pictures at an Exhibition

We drove to Royal Leamington Spa today to view my photo in an exhibition at PhotoIQ, owned and managed by Nat Coalson, who I have known for some years. He opened his gallery in October 2019, and then Covid happened. It had a devastating effect on his plans for holding workshops and events at the gallery.

But he held a second photo contest this year. The first time, (was it 2022), he was looking for photos of Leamington. This year he broadened the themes. I entered three photos, two abstract and one still life. And not only was my still life accepted for exhibition it won the category! 55 photos are in the exhibition which closes on 4th November.

Len was very impressed by his massive printer, which presumably rolled all the prints on the wall in less than an hour. Nat printed directly on to photo mount board and it's made a very good job of it. Every photo is shown at a standard size and the overall impact is extremely professional.

The photo shows Len and Basil surveying the display.

Bistrot Pierre opposite does not accept dogs so we retreated to Carluccio's where I bought a rather expensive gluten free Panettone. It tastes gorgeous.

We'd managed to miss most of the forecast rain but drove into it on the way home.

An inspiring rehearsal at choir yesterday evening.
