Last day

We were up and out at 4am and travelled into the mountains to watch the sun rise over Everest. We know that the sun did rise over Everest but we didn’t get to see it! :-) The mist was way too thick.

We grabbed a coffee on the way down, went back to our hotel for breakfast before checking out and wandering around the city a bit more. We love it. The traffic can be tricky to negotiate and being so so tired by now, we did head to the ‘Garden of Dreams’ for a little peace and quiet.

We found a great roof top cafe to eat lunch with awesome city views with the mountains behind. With our rupees all used up, we caught a taxi to the airport and eventually started the long overnight journey home. We’ll be landing in Doha in the early hours.
