Sea Pinks

Up on the cliffs the fulmars are nesting. Lovely to see all the thrift, locally called sea pinks, flowering too. Lots of blue squill, birdsfoot trefoil, cinquefoil, lady's smock and wild pansies all in flower on the cliff tops and the fields are full of baby lapwings and oystercatchers. It really is a super time of year.

Now I shall pour myself a nice glass of something and settle down to watch Springwatch!
