Red Pyracantha Berries

A trip to the shops this morning for some odds and ends. After lunch I did some u3a emails and other paperwork.

I am pleased to say that my thumb is recovering very well.

Several years ago, we planted some pyracantha shrubs along the front of the border to build up the hedge which was already there. The aim was to prevent dogs from entering the orchard. It has been neglected since before COVID-19, but today when I was looking or a picture, I decided to check on them. Most of them are doing very well and so one of the red ones is my picture today; you can view some of our yellow ones here. I think once we get to winter and the gardeners will have more time, less customers for him in the winter, he will be able to sort this narrow front border so that it looks neat as it did when we kept it tidy.

The temperature at noon today was fourteen degrees Celsius.
