Inventor of tonite

Had a lovely catch-up with Nogbad today - I would link if I knew how! We couldn’t put the world to rights but it was good to kick a few bits about.
Spotted this plaque on the walk back to the station. I’m left wondering if there is a connection between the invention and the absence of the house!
