Worrying Day

Henry is poorly. He seems to have a problem with his back end. While he can just about walk, he is very slow and definitely not himself. He has spent all day curled up on the kitchen sofa and looks perfectly normal.... until he tries to move.

He may have been in a fight last night or have some other injury. He's an old boy now (17+) and has been very fit and healthy up to now. I will need to take him to the vet tomorrow morning to get a better idea of the problem and prognosis. I know I won't put him through extensive investigations or surgery, but I really hope it is something straightforward and he will get back to his usual self. We get a lot of pleasure from our pets but there are painful times too.

Just to help the situation, John is away this weekend walking in the Lake District!
