Fountains in the shopping centre.
Quite an active and productive day.
1. Call in to local tyre-replacement place to order rear replacements: Tick.
2. Visit recycle centre to dispose of old duvet and mattress cover: Tick. (This was the Estuary Centre near Swords in north Dublin, the best recycle place I've ever experienced. Stated my business at the barrier, tap-paid the €8 fee and was given directions for where to go. Encountered another attendant who guided me to the appropriate spot. I didn't even have to get out of the car as he opened the boot and flung the stuff into a large dumper.)
3. Enjoy a hot chocolate and Twix bar in the windy open outside a nearby O'Brien's Sandwich place: Tick.
4. Return home to book tickets for Irish National Opera's production of a Vivaldi opera in May 2024: Tick.
5. Present the car to the tyre-replacement folk at the appointed time: Tick.
6. Pass the time with another hot chocolate and pastry in the nearby shopping centre while waiting for the tyre-change: Tick.
7. Fit in a spot of clothes shopping while there: Tick.
8. Hand over €150 for two new tyres and sigh with relief to no longer be deemed Dangerous by the NCT inspectors: Tick.
9. Satisfy the car's thirst at the nearby petrol station: Tick.
10. Return home and relax: Tick.
