Friday the 13th

I forgot for the most part that it was Friday the 13th. 

I got a call from the US government this morning letting me know that Hamas has threatened us all. 

Tomorrow we have an eclipse! It will rain all day. Def during the eclipse. Boooo. 

Yesterday a woman called and pretended to be from the Department of Homeland Security. Then she said, “May I ask who I’m speaking to?” I said, “no because I’m pretty sure this is a scam” and hung up.

This morning someone who sounded like the same woman called, supposedly from Amazon, supposedly to see if I was aware of a charge for over $1000. “How do you make money in this scam?” And then I hung up. 

Who do you think will call me tomorrow? So exciting. 

The problem with ethical chocolate is that the cheap, unethical crap tastes so very good. I love unethical Halloween chocolate. 
Karen: There’s quinoa in that?
Me: Yes
Karen: No one’s going to want that!

It gave it a nice crunch. No one is going to want it because it is dark chocolate and kids like sweet. Well, everyone likes sweet. 

“Experimental” naval drones damaged two Russian military vessels over the past two days as Ukraine continues to get the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The drone is called, “Sea Baby.” The Sea Baby was used to hit the Kerch Bridge. The Sea Baby is the result of months of development they began right after the 2022 invasion. 

The International Olympic Committee suspended the Russian Olympic committee on Thursday to punish them for trying to claim Ukrainian athletes as their own. This means the IOC won’t provide funding for the ROC. 


The UK has asked the Bank of England to look at options for using Russia’s frozen assets to fund Ukraine’s war efforts. 


Zelenskyy in 2019 said he would only run for office for one term. Now he said if the war is still going on next year and elections are held he will run to avoid abandoning his country. Holding the elections will be a safety issue. Ordinarily the elections would be held now but the Ukrainian law bans elections during martial law.
