Another sign of the times

Like a lot of town centres, more and more shops are closing down. This one used to be a Maplin’s electrical shop, but since that closed it’s been a shop selling miscellaneous fancy furniture and ornaments, a higgledy-piggledy display, but it seemed to be doing well.
It’s quite a big shop, so there’s not much chance of it becoming a nail bar, vape shop, barber’s or fast food outlet, all of which we have in abundance.
My guess it will stand empty for years, its darkened windows reflecting the image of the Wilko shop opposite it, which will be doing exactly the same.
