Waking in the forest

We had such a lovely day walking in the forest...... it was so peaceful and although there were other people about, and their dogs, it did not detract from our enjoyment.

We walked for about five miles, which is the most that Bob has walked since his hip replacement, and he was just fine;  it was a beautiful crisp sunny October day, and lovely to be out.

Aberfoyle was very busy as there was a half marathon race on.  We queued up for a snack and cuppa, but everyone was very happy and friendly and it was good fun.  The new snack bar where the ice cream stall used to be was very busy, as were all the other eateries.

On the way home we called in at Dobbies, well, Bob had to look at the plants, didn't he..... and buy bulbs too.

Our girls are on their way home now; train from Lucerne to Zurich Airport, then flights Zurich/Frankfurt/Glasgow...... they should be home in the late evening.  It will be great to hear all the stories when we see them.
