Handkerchief Tree

Went to Batsford Arboretum today - we haven't been for ages and I'm back at work tomorrow so we braved the (rainy) weather forecast! It was lovely up there, very quiet and peaceful apart from the birds singing away - lots of flowers as well as trees.

Very lucky to get up there at just the right time to see the Handkerchief Tree flowering - apparently it just flowers for a matter of a week or so. It looks so unusual and you can see how it gets the name.
