Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Blip

Dessicated Rose or Pig?

Apologies for something from years back today, been busy with other stuff.

Return to Nature
I stand alone like Betjeman on the cliff top,
Among his 'flaming gorse and amethystine sea'.
The early morning mist dissipates,
As the sun breaks through across the bay.
The old tin mine, abandoned now,
Marked by the derelict engine house,
Though the wild, thunderous, crashing waves
Reverberate from within the shaft still.
In more tranquil waters, porpoises cavort,
Enjoying the sensuality of their revelry.
Gannets dive and splash lazily beyond the surf,
In a frenzied attack upon a shoal of fish.
Gulls ride the updraughts created by the cliffs,
Wheeling and crying their plaintive song.
I wander down the winding path, onto gentle sands,
The turquoise waters of the rock pools teem with life.
The ocean clear, sparkles like crystal,
In the golden light of the morning.
Being overwhelmed by total immersion in nature,
Creates in me a state of exquisite ecstasy!
