Helping Hand for Dad

Such perfect weather for the Great South Run, sunny but not too warm with a cool light breeze and no rain. We stood along the seafront to get a good view of the runners - more than 20000 in this year’s event and they run 10 miles through the streets of Southsea and Old Portsmouth. Matt said how enjoyable it was - flat for one thing and with plenty of interest - the Historic Dockyard past the Victory, along the esplanade and finishing on the Common. He said it was such a boost to see little R’s hand stretched out to give him a high 5! Such a joyful weekend - one has to appreciate living in this peaceful part of the world
