A welcome visitor.
I make no apologies for yet another "bird on the feeders" blip. It is a few years since one last visited. A few years before that I had 15 on the bird table at one time.
For every Tree Sparrow (Passer montanus) around today there were 20 in the 1970s. you will not be surprised to know they are Red Listed on conservation lists. This however applies only to the UK. Red listing means in danger of extinction.
What are we in the UK doing wrong?
