Leaving Newcastle...

This afternoon we took a train to Manchester Airport, so as to be there in good time for our flight to Toronto tomorrow. We're so looking forward to seeing the family there again.

The photo was taken from the station at Newcastle, showing the castle and the iconic Tyne Bridge in the background. Through the bridge you can just see the music centre on the Gateshead side of the river. Since it opened in 2004 it's been called "The Sage" in honour of Sage Computing which is a major sponsor of it. However it's recently been renamed "The Glasshouse International Centre for Music" as the new arena being built next to it is now to be called "The Sage".
