Reflecting Christ To The World Around Us!

As we gathered at FBC this morning, we were grateful for the cooler temperatures outside and for the warmth of the fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ inside our walls.  We were also grateful for the news earlier in the week of the birth of our pastor's baby boy and that meant that we would have the opportunity to hear God's message to us from one of our other ministers, Matt.  Of course we began our service with congregational praise, followed by the welcome from Matt.  The choir, orchestra and all our talented accompanists blessed us with the meditative rendition of "God Leads Us Along", followed by more corporate worship and praise as we prepared our hearts and minds for Matt's message.  He spoke to us about the importance of reflecting the qualities of Christ to a world in desperate need of what He has to offer, including His holiness, His glory, His sense of justice, His compassion, His sense of relationship and His unity.  Matt had much more to say how we can go about reflecting the attributes of Christ just like the mirror reflects our attributes as you will find out if you take the time to watch the Live-stream.  One of the ways we can reflect and share the attributes of Christ all over the world is through packing a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child.  You can find out more about that on our church's website.  There is still plenty of time to pack a shoebox and change a child's life and the life of that child's family.  And, of course, it is still Pinktober, so there is some pink included in my collage to remind you to click on the link below to help fund mammograms for those who cannot afford to pay..... https://thebreastcancersite.greatergood.com/clicktogive/bcs/home
