Fall Birches …

… captured on the way to our house in New Hampshire. The drive alone is three hours, but lunch as usual at Hart’s Turkey Farm in Meredith NH—adds nearly another hour.

It was a cool and sunny day and most traffic was heading south, so the drive was pleasant. Unfortunately, the fall color we anticipated was subdued. We’ve heard this from friends; the problem has likely been summer heat and humidity.
