Kingdom

Gave RL a lift down to the last day of her conference with her bag, then K and I set off across the bridge to Fife. Another stunning day, with a few more (very high) clouds than yesterday and still beautiful sunshine to balance the chill. K spotted lots of cloud iridescence and managed to get some pictures whilst I was driving...very pretty.
We stopped first at the Bowhouse for its regular weekend market. Tasted the cheeses, bought some cultured butter, an apple brioche bun with apple spread to eat there and some rhubarb cocktails in a tin for this evening. After a good browse we then decided to go to St Andrews for a wander and we enjoyed a browse through the streets (full of teams pf students dressed in daft costumes doing some sort of treasure trail....lot of posh 'high jinks').
Stopped for a couple of pizzas which were delicious and were devoured in no time despite us thinking we'd need a box to take the leftovers home in! Slow service from understaffed team, but the quality of the pizzas made up.
From the town we went down to the beach to have another walk, and with less wind we managed to do a good length along and back the shoreline, crunching on the shells and admiring the almost unbroken lines of waves along the whole length of it. Lots of surfers out there, and a lone swimmer who must have been frozen as she seemed to just be sitting in the shallows rather than moving about to keep warm.
Home and slumped onto the sofas where we watched the Strictly results and then the first episode of Lessons in Chemistry on AppleTV. The adaptation seems good, so that will be something to watch the next few nights.
Another lovely day
