Buttercups

So many buttercups in bloom this year!!
I remember there was a little game (long, long ago
in my youth) that a buttercup was placed under the chin to see if you liked butter. If it reflected brightly it meant you did, and if it didn't then you were deemed not to like butter?!?
Think it might of been a ruse to get close up and personal?
