Monday Morning Meadow
The light on my wee meadow was lovely, highlighting the different grasses and a lone Black-Eyed Susan. This will be the last thing John cuts back in November. He will use a scythe sort of tool so he can cut it 6-8 inches high, and we'll leave it where it falls to rake up in the spring. I will scatter milkweed seeds under the grass blanket in hopes that some will sprout next year. Gift#287: hope.
