Corpus Christi

Sacred heart Basilica was opened on October 1st 1911, by Archbishop Redwood. Designed by F W Petre the building is among the most noteworthy examples of ecclesiastical architecture in New Zealand.

It contains many beautiful stained glass windows.




Thank you for your kind comments yesterday, I'm feeling much better now. I even managed my first meal in two days this morning! I nipped out this morning for my blip, now I'm tucked up by the heatpump, and I will probably be here for the rest of the day!
