Under the weather

Little Miss B was poorly in the night and slept all morning and much of this afternoon, so no school for her today, the first day she's missed since she started. (Her favourite day, too, when she has 'forest school' which she loves!) 

Awake for a while, she told me my knitting reminded her of The Clangers. We soon found the episode where the two youngest Clangers are throwing a ball of knitting wool back and forth and playing Granny-in-the-Middle (a variation of pig-in-the-middle, of course)! Both children watched the delightful animation which goes back to my own youth, too.

The little girl had just woken up again when we left around teatime. Hope she managed to eat something, but we left them to it. (I am knitting a pumpkin hat for the young master to match his sister's. If it stays more than one second on his head, it will be longer than any hat to date. We shall see anon.)
