Overkill?

CyclopsJnr's loves his bike stand but it has never been 100% satisfactory.  He has really chunky tyres, and sometimes the stand rubs against them and he has to stop to pull it out again.  When this happens, it vibrates the stand and this appears to have loosened something in it so it now rattles at other times.

I've bought a new stand that attaches differently - it appears to work but two is overkill so my next job is to remove the old one.

Then we'll find out how observant he is, and whether he notices the switch...
