Tiny
Colchicum stevenii, a very tiny little autumn bulb. A few grassy leaves and these delicate pink flowers just a couple of centimetres across. In a pot in the greenhouse, I won't be experimenting with it outside, it's just too delicate.
A busy day. Two loads of laundry, two hours at work, a bit of admin for Jamie. A walk for Meg and I popped into pottery to turn (finesse) the small pot I made on the wheel yesterday. At the end of the afternoon I picked up Michael, a very longstanding friend, from rail replacement bus stop. He's here for a few days holiday and it's very good to see him again, one of those friendships that picks up where it left off no matter how long the break between meetings. As Michael lives in Southsea, right down on the south coast of England, meetings are sadly infrequent.
Tomorrow I have to dash over to Birmingham to take Ruth to an appointment, the date for which came in after Michael's plans were made. Life is ever complicated!
