A Writer's Life

The bed

Now, let me explain this. I left home 21 years ago to live in Montreal. In Montreal, we are big on windowless rooms. So for the past 21 years, aside from a two-year span in the beginning, and my New York Webster room, I never had a window in my room. Now, I do. And it's a good window. And the bedroom is big enough that there's actually room left to walk around the bed.

Don't you just want to lie there and read a novel until you fall asleep?
