Wynyard Station Escalators

The fine drizzle as I left home turned to squally rain part way along the Spit Bridge to Manly walk, a shame because we’d already spotted a heron, whipbirds, wrens and scrub turkeys. My walking buddy was ill-equipped for wet weather though.

The old wooden escalators at Wynyard were re-purposed as a sculpture in 2017, connecting past and present, street and underground.

Another view in the extra. It was a toss-up.

Chris Fox is the artist.
