And … jump

Rain, rain - so packed up and moved on today to the north west corner of Slovenia. From a recommendation on some people we spoke to a couple of weeks a go we made our way up to Planica. There’s an van stop’ here to park up and it’s in the most unexpected amazing place! We’re in a ski centre where there are 8 ski jumps, the worlds steepest zip line (so they say - luckily it’s closed), a ski centre with an underground cross country ski track (looks like an iced up car park), a wind tunnel, and .. it’s surrounded by spectacular mountains.
No one ski jumping today but we walked up the side of the biggest jump to get the downhill view. The picture here is the view from the point where they actually jump and then fly through the air and hopefully land gracefully. Total madness.
Oh, and it’s freezing. Snow on the mountain tops.
