Aquarium
Connor, Ellie, Mr PHL and I had tickets for the aquarium so after a light breakfast we headed off to Palma on the bus. The forecast was for thunder and heavy rain so not surprisingly many other had the same idea and the bus was full. A 2 minute walk at the other end and we caught a second bus to the Aquarium.
It was also busy but Ellie was captivated and we spent a very pleasant couple of hours walking round the exhibits. After a browse round the gift shop we got back to the centre of Palma by taxi and enjoyed a delicious tapas lunch. Croqueta’s, garlic prawns, chorizo sausages, Serrano ham and chicken wings mopped up with bread and aioli.
Apologies Laurie for my heavily cropped blip of the pieces of delicious croqueta’s as my MonoMonday entry. Thanks for hosting.
Got caught in a brief shower en route back to the bus station but as it’s still warm, it wasn’t unpleasant. Connor and Ellie opted for a nap and we shared a jug of sangria with my brother at the Piano bar. He and Ethan had stayed in Magaluf for the day and battled it out at mini golf which ended in a draw.
No news from back home on Angela’s sister other than they’ve changed her painkilling drugs as she wasn’t tolerating the morphine. The family are taking turns to be with her and fortunately for them she is in a single room at the hospital.
After changing we went to the local Indian restaurant for dinner. I opted for a starter portion of Channa masala for my main course as I was still quite full from our huge lunch and it was plenty.
A nightcap in Tino’s and home to bed by just before 11. An early night will do us all good.
A wee reminder for TinyTuesday with the optional theme of ‘the natural world’ and tag TT438. Looking forward to your entries.
Backblipped Tuesday morning.
