Letting off steam 20/30

Well technically, it's just spray.  We were servicing the water Hydram or Hydraulic Ram Pump.  A marvel of Victorian era perpetual motion engineering. It uses no energy and is virtually cost-free (apart from parts and labour!)

This one has been pumpng water up +800ft to our house for nearly 90 years.  Of course this might be a little like "Trigger's Broom" .
