Green tomato chutney

My lovely neighbour keeps us supplied with tasty tomatoes all summer. When she told me last week she would be throwing out the unripened green ones I said I'd make chutney. A bold statement from someone who's hardly a kitchen goddess. After simmering the ingredients for over 3 hours (the recipe said 1 hour) I had something resembling chutney. My friend came to see me this evening so she's gone home with a jar. I'm hoping she'll still be my friend next week.
