Wisteria in the evening sun..

A few weeks ago family members cut back and trimmed the wisteria which is growing over the pergola adjacent to the living room. The original trunk is very old and partially rotten. But new young trunks and branches have grown up over the last few years. They went mad, spreading all over the pergola and certainly needed cutting back. However I worried that I would have very few flowers to enjoy this spring. But my worry was unfounded and I am enjoying a modest display. A feast for my eyes.
