Old Hill Street Police Station

A day of two halves. A bus tour in the morning which ended with a little Singapore Sling in the Long Bar at Raffles Hotel. In the morning! It has to be said that they certainly know how to make them. Along with the cocktail, there is a large bag of monkey nuts on your table. Once you've shelled them, you throw the shells on the floor. I couldn't bring myself to do that, so I gathered them neatly, scooped them up, and placed them on the floor at my feet.

Then the weather changed, and as if someone had mentioned home, the rain came, the fog descended, and the temperatures dropped. Well, it lowered to a very pleasant 26 degrees. We used the time to sort out some packing.

Thankfully, it cleared by 6pm as we were due to go up the 57 flights of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel to enjoy the Skywalk viewing gallery. The highest one we've been on. The views were spectacular. Let's see if I can load an extra?! It will be worth a look if I can.

During the morning's bus tour, we passed the Old Hill Street Police Station with its beautiful multicoloured window shutters. No longer a police station, now a historic building.
