Turtle's Tablet

You may remember me saying about our Very Old cat, Turtle, having hyperthyroidism and some very expensive iodine free food to try and regulate her condition? Yeah, well, that didn't work... Upon seeing the other cats were eating whatever was cheapest at Tesco that week, Turtle decided she wasn't going to eat her expensive special food anymore. So now we have to get tablets in to her... Firing them down her throat with the "pill buster" from the vets only resulted in trauma and injury (more on our part than Turtle's) so I came up with the idea of concealing them in (Co-op value) pate, which touch-wood seems to be working. Only now she is starting to turn her nose up at the food the other cats are eating, and just wanting pate all the time... So anyway, this is the stage before the pill gets rolled in pate because believe me, that is not a pretty picture. She is very old, and very loved, and seems to be gaining weight and back to her old self, so you do what you have to do :-)
