Double Trouble

We had a very successful fungus walk today and managed to finish before Storm Babet arrived. There were only 7 of is, but we found a great range of fungi. One of the stars was these Scarlet Caterpillar Fungus (Cordyceps militaris) - two fruiting bodies were growing out of one larva. I dug it up to show the group how it grew from the larva then re-buried it to continue its life cycle.
