Angel Roof !!!

Off to Swaffham on the bus today for my Covid booster…….afterwards had sometime after before my return bus was due …so popped in the local church to have a look round ……
Well there were angels everywhere!!
This church dates from 1454 and has a wonderful oak hammer beam roof with 192 angels carved from chestnut !!
Untouched by the iconoclasts of the Reformation as they were unable to reach them :-))
In Norfolk there are over 40 churches with Angel roofs mostly 15 th century ….and this church is one of the most spectacular!!!
