Enthusiastic

We stopped at Islandhill, just outside Comber, and on the shore of Strangford Lough on our way home from Newtownards. The tide was quite high, and with the strong winds it was also quite rough. The black Labrador was obviously a senior citizen, he had a very grey muzzle and he was finding it hard to walk. However, he had the very typical Labrador love of water. He limped down to the water, and stood waiting for the waves to get to him - then he lay down and let the waves wash around him. I'm sure that he was smiling, and his tail was wagging. I did feel for him, he was obviously in a lot of pain, but he wanted to get into the water. An enthusiastic and happy old chap, but his body was letting him down.
